Elizabeth W. [unknown]1
- Alt. Name: Elizabeth V. Rickenbacker
- Sex: F
- Born: Abt 1770 in Cork, Ireland2, 3
- Died: 15 Jan 1852 in Orangeburg, Orangeburg County, South Carolina3
- Buried: in Pioneer Cemetery, Orangeburg, Orangeburg County, South Carolina3
- Notes:
Her gravestone reads: "Elizabeth W./ Rickenbacker / who departed this life / on the 15th Jany 1852 / aged about 90 Years / She was a native of Cork / Ireland; / arrived in America / in the year 1792 / and has resided 60 Years / in South Carolina."
-----
Elizabeth must be a Rickenbacker wife as no Rickenbackers came from Ireland. I suspect she is Elizabeth Barton who married John Rickenbacker per "The Rumph and Frederick Families" but have no proof.
-----
Since she arrived in 1792, I speculate that she was the second wife of Hans Heinrich Rickenbacker but I have no proof. Her age fits with the female assumed to be his wife in the 1800 and the 1810 census. All of Hans Heinrich's children appear to have been born before 1790 so they would have had no children.
